October 18: Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ADHD is a widespread diagnosis in school aged children and recently being diagnosed more and more in adults as well. Learn how integrative medicine and naturopathic medicine including homeopathic remedies can manage this disruptive condition.

November 15: Natural Approaches to Cardiac Health and Cholesterol Reduction: Learn how to reduce your cardiac risk factors, reduce cholesterol and improve your health with less dependence on medication through diet, herbal therapies and exercise.

January 17: Gastrointestinal Inflammation: Crohn’s, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis, Constipation, and Diarrhea. Learn about the mechanisms which set us up for these conditions and how to reverse them. Learn how poor GI health relates to other conditions such as allergies, rheumatism and autoimmune dysfunction.

March 20: Women's Health: Learn about the wide array of options available to you to support symptoms of PMS, menopause, and  other women's health issues. We will discuss how nutrition, gentle herbs, exercise, emotional and spiritual healing and bio-identical hormone therapy can help bring greater health and wellbeing into your life. Helpful for men as well as women!

April 17: Immune Enhancement For Optimal Health and the Prevention and Treatment of Disease: Learn natural approaches to enhance your body’s immune system for optimal health and for the support of chronic diseases including cancer. Learn  how integrative approaches, including botanical medicine,  can support the body for the prevention and treatment of disease.

May 15: Chronic Pain Syndrome: Learn about techniques available to reduce headaches, chronic back pain, and fibromyalgia, such as craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, and manual medicine.

June 19: Chi Kung: Learn basic theories and concepts behind this ancient art of promoting life. Movement centered and meditation oriented Chi Kung, as well as chi sensitivity exercises will be included. Wear comfortable attire as participation in these gentle movements is highly recommended.

Fees: $15 drop in; $40/3 week session; $72/6 week session

Tuesday: 7:30-9:00pm
Intermediate Yoga~ good for beginners and those with some yoga experience.

Thursday: 7:00-8:30pm
(no classes lecture nights: Nov 15, Jan 17, April 17, May 15, June 19)Beginners Yoga~.

Saturday: 9:00-10:30am
Beginners Yoga~ a great way to start the weekend.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Jim Whiting is a certified Kripalu Yoga
instructor. A lifetime resident of the Albany area, Jim studied Yoga at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts, meditation and Yoga philosophy at the American Meditation Institute in Averill Park, NY and the psychology of the  Bhagavad Gita at the Hindu Temple in Loudonville, NY. Jim has been a practitioner of Yoga, Meditation and Yoga philosophy since 1996. The Center is honored and excited to have Jim teach yoga. His gentle and focused style will be a valuable teaching tool to yoga students.

FREE GUIDED MEDITATION

Every Wednesday evening, Healing Practitioner Beth Netter, M.D. will be leading a meditation at The Center. The sessions are FREE.

The meditation sessions are available at The Center to practice and experience the deep state of meditation. These sessions serve as an introduction for beginners as well as a practice for experienced individuals in the cultivation of clarity and mindfulness.

Held at The Center for Integrative Health and Healing (directions) a mere 10 minutes south of Albany, NY in Delmar, NY.
