Jennifer Enos, N.P.
(formerly: Jennifer Adams), Primary Care, Holistic Nurse Practitioner
(please note my new name: Jennifer Enos, formerly Jennifer Adams)
Having the fortunate experience of growing up on a farm in South Louisiana, I was exposed to holistic ways of interpreting my environment.
Later, as an adult, my family moved to Ghent, NY where our children attended an alternative school with access to an organic farm, alternative ways of treating illness and preventative care.
This made a lasting impression and helped shape the paths I have chosen in life. I believe everything has a place and we are where we are supposed to be at any given moment. Where we choose to stand is simply a matter of fear or faith. I have always perceived myself as a bridge of sorts. In both my personal and professional life, I thrive on assisting others to create a life they love as opposed to a life they endure. It is a privilege to act as a bridge between illness and health and between pain and suffering to joy and wellness.
Although I received mainstream medical training, I have chosen to combine this training with complementary medicine. In addition to education through coursework and personal experience on the benefits of complementary medicine, I have participated in Native American traditions for 18 years and have a deep understanding of this culture. I believe that mainstream and contemporary western medicine both have a place in the healing process and, together with a holistic, complementary approach and an individual's freedom of choice, health can be achieved.
The Center for Integrative Health and Healing is an ideal match for who I am and what I stand for. I am passionate about supporting others in their healing and empowering others to choose which modality works best for them. To me, each person is whole and complete exactly the way they are, and I am grateful for the privilege of providing value to others as they go through their healing process. Having a range of methodologies such as mainstream medicine, complementary treatments, and Chinese medicine, the Center is an extraordinary medical practice that offers a variety of treatment options. The unique expertise and skill of each practitioner offer patients the opportunity to receive comprehensive primary care with ease. This is why I have chosen to be part of the Center's team of practitioners and look forward to assisting others in their health and wellbeing.
