Massage Therapy
A sports injury, car accident, stress, arthritis - in your lifetime, you're bound to be affected by one malady or another. Or, perhaps you're seeking relaxation to relieve the stresses associated with modern life.
Coping with your injuries, trauma or stress can take weeks, months, or even years to heal depending on how severe the problem and how effective your treatment plan is. For centuries, massage therapy has assisted people in these and other areas enhancing recovery and helping individuals return to a more normal life.
Therapeutic Massage Can Help You With:
- Blood circulation
- Digestive system support
- Insomnia
- Low back pain
- Lymph system support
- Muscle relaxation
- Limited range of motion in elderly
- Posture
- Immune enhancement
- Prevention of new injuries
- Sports injuries
- Stress relief
- Surgical recovery
- Softening of scar tissue
- Anxiety and Depression
- Migraines
- Positive body awareness
Besides releasing restrictions or relieving contractions in muscles, joints, and surrounding connective tissue coverings ("fascia"), massage techniques also increases circulation. This helps the body eliminate waste and aids in bringing nutrients to areas of trauma or injury thereby speeding the healing process of your condition.
By improving your circulation, massage also aids in the draining of excess fluid retained from surgery, injury and pregnancy.
Because massage relieves stress so effectively, it can also serve as an effective supportive therapy for people undergoing counseling treatments.
With an increasing number of studies showing these benefits of therapeutic massage, and its increasing popularity in the United States, you'll be assured that this age old therapy will safely and effectively address your needs.

Case Study
Woman in her 40's came to The Center with limited range of motion in her neck, couldn't turn her head from side to side, and had frequent headaches and sleepless nights. She was seen by her primary doctor who suggested pain medication which she did not want to take.
Therapeutic massage was performed every week for a month. Client's headaches were gone, range of motion improved and sleep improved as well. Also, as a side benefit the patient became aware of the cause of her stress and was able to address it.
